Ensembles

J. L. Mann offers many different musical and visual ensembles for students to participate in to maximize the talents that they posses. Below you will see the different ensembles offered by the Mann Band Program with an explanation of what the ensemble is and what is required to participate.

Marching Band

The Marching Band, is the sport of the arts. Ages range from 7th-12th grade. This ensemble pushes the student physically, mentally, and musically.

Symphonic Band

Symphonic Band plays the largest role in the program. This is where students gain the fundamentals and the knowledge to become all around great musicians!

Color Guard

Color guard is the visual portion of the marching band, incorporating dance, flag, saber, and rifle choreography.

Winter Percussion is an ensemble that is open to all students. This is a highly competitive ensemble, competing in Percussion Scholastic Novice for the 2023 season. This is an indoor activity in the winter months. Currently the 2017 and 2018 CWEA PSN Champions.
