Join the Marching Band!
The J.L. Mann Band is accepting new members for the 2023-2024 season! The J.L. Mann Marching Patriots performs at all home varsity football games and competes on Saturdays beginning in the end of September through the first Saturday in November. We have a fun and competitive show planned for this fall and need YOU to be a part of the band family! Open to all 2023-2024 JL Mann students, and 2023-2024 7th & 8th graders who are zoned for J.L. Mann. Students enrolled in the GCS Virtual Program are welcome!

Ways to get involved:

Winds:
Brass and Woodwind musicians! Whether you have played an instrument for years, or are just starting, there's a place for you!

Percussion:
Do you currently play percussion? Have you always wanted to try? Do you play keyboard or a string instrument but want to participate in marching band too? Regardless of where you are coming from, no experience is necessary! We will teach you everything!

Color Guard:
Learn to work the flag, rifle, and saber to bring a great visual element to the shows! No experience required! A great way for chorus members to participate! Contact Ms. Ari at abroome@greenville.k12.sc.us or Mr. JaCoby at kjacoby@greenvilleschools.us to get connected today!
Spring Band Camp!

4:15 - 6:45 pm

Spring Camp will be held May 23, 24 and 25 from 4:15-6:45pm at J.L. Mann High School. Please report to the Band Room. This is an opportunity to gain early experience in what the activity feels like (and to kick off the rust for you veterans!) Absolutely NO marching experience is required. We only ask you bring lightweight athletic clothing, sneakers, a large water bottle and a positive attitude!
